The song begins with Ash singing about her recent break up. She sings, “I’ve followed my heart into the fire/ Got burned, got broken down by desire.” The lyrics talk about how she followed her boyfriend through a lot, but she was burned by wanting to stay with him.

The chorus starts with Ash singing, “I can do anything at all.” This is her breaking free from her boyfriend and realizing she does not need him. She begins to follow herself and what she wants, by herself. 

In the chorus, Ash has finally started to find who she is and what she wants. She sings, “I can finally see, it’s not just a dream/ When you set it all free, all free, all free.” She sees that she can achieve what she wants, that it is not impossible. She sings that she is finally free. 

I chose this song because I like how she sings about being free. I like the music and how the song is about following who you are.

Scarlett Johansson, is a singer and actress. She is well known for her role in “The Avengers,” and “Lost in Translation.” She won the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and the  People’s Choice Award for Favorite Movie Actress.
