Lady Panthers continue streak of region shutouts

In another region victory, the Lady Panthers defeated the Morrow Mustangs 10-0 on March 10. Senior Riley Clark led the way scoring three goals, with senior Lauren Yoss scoring a goal and assisting two others.   

Senior Dylan Patterson assisted three goals, while senior Leslie Logan scored two. Seniors Laurel Parker and Lexy Weaver both scored, along with junior Ashton Nowicki. Juniors Ashley Broderick, Ansley Peurifoy, and Katelyn LaRusso each added an assist. Another goal was added on a Morrow own goal.

The Lady Panthers have yet to surrender a goal in region play this season and are now 7-0-0 in the region and 8-0-0 overall. The team travels to Whitewater on March 15 to face the local rival Wildcats in a non-region encounter, with the match beginning at 5:55 p.m.

In other soccer scores, the Starr’s Mill boys’ varsity team defeated Morrow 7-0 to improve their record to 7-2-0 on the season and 7-0-0 in the region.

The JV teams recorded a sweep of Whitewater at Panther Stadium.  Freshman Olivia Sapienza scored the only goal in the girls’ 1-0 victory.  The boys JV team won 2-0, on two Whitewater own goals. With the wins, both teams are now 3-2-1 on the season.
