  • Students in the Fayette County High School ROTC program hold the flags for military appreciation. The night began in the spirit of military appreciation, as twelve aircrafts flew over Panther Stadium.

  • Freshman Annaston Evers jumps over a hurdle in the 100-meter hurdle event. She ran a time of 18.81 seconds.

  • Athletes from Starr’s Mill, Woodward, Fayette, East Coweta, Marist, all run the 3200-meter race. Samantha Rodgers from Auburn High School secured the win with the top time of 10 minutes and 45.02 seconds.

  • Freshman Brandon Mathis sprints to the finish line in the boys 4x100-meter relay. The relay team placed 17th with a time of 47.84 seconds. Newnan High School won the event with a time of 42.19 seconds.

  • Junior Jack Tucker races to a close finish in the boys’ 400-meter dash. Tucker placed 41st with a time of 54.86 seconds. First place was won by Chapel Hill’s Shawn Langley with a time of 48.37 seconds.

  • Senior Tara Davis (left) and freshman Sydney Blair (right) race the girls’ 100-meter dash. Blair took 8th place with a time of 12.58 seconds and Davis took 13th with a time of 12.86 seconds. Jadaja Baxter from Riverwood International Charter finished in 12.27 seconds to win first place.

  • Iverson Harris from North Cobb performs the long jump. Harris placed 21st out of 30 jumpers. Christopher Pitt from East Coweta placed first overall in long jump.

  • Freshman Joseph Sulkowski warms up before his pole vaulting event. Sulkowski pole vaulted 11 feet placing him in 10th. Grant Briscoe from Carrollton placed fist with a jump of 15 feet.

  • Seniors Nick Nyman and Harrison Fultz hug after Nyman’s 800-meter race. Nyman placed second with a time of 1:56.43 minutes behind Kyle Harkabus from East Coweta who had a time of 1:56.08.

  • Senior Carson Hines runs the 800-meter race. Hines placed 28th overall with a time of 2:08.50.

  • Freshman Sydney Blair prepares for the 200-meter race. Blair placed first overall with a time of 25.60 seconds.

  • Senior Lea Duben warms up before her 300-meter hurdle race. Duben recently committed to the University of Alabama where she will continue her track and field career.

  • Sophomore Allie Walker passes the baton to senior Lea Duben in the girls 4x400 meter relay. Walker, Duben, and seniors Bree St. Julian and Tara Davis placed first for the girls with a time of 3:54.94 minutes.

  • Senior Nick Nyman passes the baton to senior Ty Duben in the boys 4x400 meter relay. Seniors Ty Duben, Harrison Fultz, Nick Nyman, and Jalen Lazenby placed fifth with a time of 3:23.95 minutes.

  • Senior Ty Duben shakes hands with coach Anne Chrzanowski. The boys placed sixth overall in the meet.

  • Senior Bree St. Julian and sophomore Allie Walker carry the first place trophy. Track and field competes again this weekend at the McEachern Invitational.
