Varsity girls soccer started the season in dominant fashion last week, defeating Veterans 10-0.

“I wasn’t expecting that, but the girls just did really well,” head coach John Bowen said. “You take it, you get the ‘W,’ and move on. It builds confidence and gets you ready for the next game.”

Sophomore Mia Hargrove led the team with five goals. Sophomore Riley Munoz added two goals and one assist. Senior Maddie Defler, sophomore Olivia Silcox, and freshman Olivia Shaw also added a goal apiece.

“We’re all different ages and we all have different skills, but we work really well together,” Hargrove said.
