Starr’s Mill welcomes paraprofessional Kim Guess to the Panther family. Although this is her first year at the Mill, Guess is no stranger to life in Fayetteville. “My family moved to Fayetteville when I was five years old, so I have always considered it to be my home,” Guess said.

Before obtaining her new position at Starr’s Mill, Guess spent several years teaching at North Fayette Elementary. “North Fayette was a wonderful school, and I had the privilege to teach there for eight wonderful years,” Guess said.

As a former teacher and current paraprofessional working alongside Laura Harbin, Guess always looks forward to seeing students “use what they learn to become successful in life.”

Overall, Guess is grateful for the opportunity she has been given to “grow as an educator at Starr’s Mill,” Guess said. She notes seeing numerous changes in Fayetteville during her lifetime. “One thing has not changed: a close community of people who are always willing to help their neighbor,” Guess said.
