The Pantherettes competed at the Peachtree City Dance Championship with entries in junior teen solo, small varsity jazz, and small varsity pom divisions at McIntosh on Feb. 10.

This year the Pantherettes placed first in small varsity jazz making them state champions for the first time since 2011. This was the first time that the Pantherettes had ever placed higher than McIntosh in the state competition. Other awards that the Pantherettes earned, included: small varsity pom second place, best choreography, and Hanna Johnson’s first place in junior teen solo.

The Peachtree City Dance Championship is one of many of the Universal Dance Association competitions. Earlier this month, the Pantherettes also attended the National Dance Team Competition on Feb. 2-4 in Orlando, Florida where they went to the preliminaries for jazz and placed tenth in pom semifinals.
