In early May, rising R&B duo Ar’mon and Trey released their fifth single, “Forever.” The brothers started their rise to fame through pranks on social media and are now focusing on music.

With their already large following, the duo has branched from pranks to music. Eventually, in late November 2018, Ar’mon and Trey began their music careers with the release of “She For Everybody.” While they still release videos regularly on YouTube, they have been very devoted to their music, releasing five singles between November 2017 and May 2018.

“Forever” has a much slower tempo than the rest of Ar’mon and Trey’s music. Their previous releases featured more upbeat, pop music with a techno beat. However, in their latest release, the brothers combine a slow moving, bass-heavy beat with soft, sappy lyrics.

The entire song is great and while the chorus is repetitive, it is very catchy. The combination of heavy bass, with the smooth lyrics, results in a great, relaxing song.

Both brothers trade vocals throughout the song. The change of pace was beneficial for the duo as it shows their talent as individual vocalists rather than relying on a computer for the majority of the song.

Mixing the best parts of pop and R&B music Ar’mon and Trey are beginning the slow road to establishing themselves as R&B artists. At the rate they are releasing music, the duo could put out a full-length album shortly. Nevertheless, Ar’mon and Trey will find their niche in the R&B world and create more amazing songs and make great artists of themselves.
